My Personal Review of Spotify
As someone who uses Spotify on a daily basis, I feel well-qualified to talk about it.
Perhaps the best aspect of Spotify is the intuitive interface, which makes it easy to discover new music and listen to past favorites.
The search function allows users to discover a plethora of new artists and songs. I have personally used Spotify to discover German and Spanish artists, especially when I still learning those two languages. To this day, I’ve been able to create very large playlists full of music from these artists, allowing me to enjoy my music for a long time.
That brings us to another fantastic feature of Spotify: playlists! In addition to the never-ending flood of user-created playlists that anyone can search for on the platform, many themed playlists are available on the platform, whether for studying, sleeping, or even romantic moments. Pay attention to that last one.
In addition to the medium of music, Spotify is also a great place to discover new podcasts and even videos, produced by a host of artists and producers. I have personally used the podcast feature to listen to German and Spanish podcasts, improving my vocabulary and grammar skills.
For pricing, Spotify offers several different membership subscriptions, or you can just use it for free, with occasional ads of course. There are three different types of premium subscriptions: individual, family, and student. For prices, the student subscription costs $5.99/month, $11.99/month for individuals, and finally $19.99/month for families. While these prices can seem steep, I have personally found the student and individual plans to be worth the cost. In addition, a few of my siblings are on the family plan.
